Megadeth, Behind the music

This is a must watch for all Megadeth fans, i came across this doco yesterday while randomly surfing youtube. Its a brilliant story about dave mustaine and how megadeth was formed, it also talks about his life and why he is as arrogant as some people may think. Unfortunately this was made before the band broke up in 2002, so there is nothing about the new lineup consisting of chris broderick and shaun drover. But for megadeth fans, its a good way of knowing the history of the band and what made them so popular. Megadeth is also one of the pioneers of thrash metal, and you have to respect them for what they have done for the metal music industry. Even today, bands like lazarus ad, and more draw their inspiration from the early albums like Rust in peace and so far so good so what.
Here is the link to part 1 of 11 in this doco, u can follow the related videos or the uploaders profile for the remaining parts.
or u can just search for it under 'megadeth documentary' in my youtube gadget on my blog page.

enjoy!

Are we there yet?? ...Oh Hell No..!!

This was an original post in my facebook profile, but i was asked by me mates to post it here.

Not so long ago, we won out freedom from the Brits. Now I know they robbed heaps of stuff from us, but i think we learnt something from them too. The English language.

Now don’t worry, im not here to talk about English mates. Because i think we have made fairly good use of it. And been good at it too. All but except one area, Bollywood songs.

Oh my god, has there been a mess there. Now honestly i won’t say that its something to be ashamed of, or at least thats what the so called ‘Composers’ think, simply because the ‘out of towner’ audiences find it amusing. But i don’t blame the audiences cause honestly, for most of their lives, they have been exposed to these Constipators... oops i mean “Com = Posers”.

Ok, i think thats enough of the intro. Let’s get down to the real mucking up. These dudette’s are ummmm .. pretty famous yea. Two are from the time when most of us were in school and couldn’t really revolt to this form of blatantly disastrous lyric writing. And one wanker is from the recent times and has proudly made an a$$ out of himself already. We start with Old school..

  1. Bappi give me a Pappi.
Now this bloke here was the behemoth in the bollywood music scene, i mean literally because he could eat you while singing. Its pretty crazy but because people loooved him. I think one of his best examples of horrendous lyric writing can be found on youtube.

I guess after check it out u will be like ...

But u wont believe it, pappi tried his hand at rock and roll too. But yea just so u know, there is but one Bill Hayley. Anyways for a peek into the rock and roll disaster, u can check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS6F2CwPROM

  1. The original anu, (can u image if he had a fake??)

I don’t think i need to even tell you about him, i think u all know enough. But this bad boy has got added qualities, he can plagiarise others work and make it look least authentic. In my research on youtube i found this amazing video, u have to take a look at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yWleMi02Kk

Yea, im thinkin what ur thinkin right now.. Why man?? Whyyyy? But if u watch this video, u can find similar videos of new so called artists who are emulating the original anu. Now you can say,” Houston, were as good as doomed”

  1. Mehndi who needs a bhendi

This is one guy who is really insulting his own people, im serious mates. I know a lot of Punjabi artists who are really good at their music and compositions. Of course i don’t understand Punjabi, but when i get it translated by me good friend aman, i know these songs and artists have got depth.

But this fool cant tell the difference between his elbow and his @*$ehole. If you feel otherwise, i think you should take a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QccTV2DYkM

So there you have it, the definition of bull$h*t. I would love to see what my musician friends have to say on this, remember i encourage constructive criticism.

And remember, im not a writer. I’m just an unemployed Indian student, who currently in the land down under.
